On August 15, 2007 Rosneft was declared the winner of an auction for YUKOS receivables being sold in connection with the company’s bankruptcy proceedings.
After an opening price of RUR 11,498,908,219 Rosneft offered the winning bid of RUR 11,555,908,000.
As a consequence of wining the auction Rosneft acquired various receivables owned by YUKOS amounting to a total of RUR 13,723,310,325.
The major part of the receivables in the lot comprised receivables of Rosneft itself (RUR 1,667 billion), Tomskneft (RUR 1,602 billion), Samaraneftegaz (RUR 160 million) and other subsidiaries of Rosneft Oil Company.
