During the first six months of this year, oil production in OJSC “Surgutneftegas” reached 26,133.8 thousand tons compared to 23,701.5 thousand tons produced in 1H2002 (an over 10% increase).

Gas production amounted to 6,901 mln cubic meters (6,495.8 mln cubic meters in the same period of 2002). The Company achieved a 6% increase.

Well drilling in the Company totaled 1,512.3 thousand meters, or 106.8% compared to the same period of 2002 (1,416.2 thousand meters). This includes exploratory drilling which amounted to 122.5 thousand meters.

The Company commissioned 463 new wells against 454 wells commissioned in 1H2002.
