Vladimir A. Akulich, General Manager of JSC North-West Telecom, was appointed Vice-President of JSC Rostelecom as from December 10, 2010.
In this position, he will be responsible for the development in the North-Western Federal District of the business of the united company currently being established on the basis of Rostelecom by merging interregional telecommunication companies of the Svyazinvest Group.
Vladimir Akulich will continue to hold the position of General Manager of JSC North-West Telecom until the finalization of the merger of the company with Rostelecom.

Vladimir Alexandrovich Akulich was born on August 23, 1956 in Klaipeda, Lithuanian SSR.
In 1978, he graduated from the Leningrad Bonch-Bruevich Institute of Electrical Engineering.
Candidate of Economic Sciences (Institute of Economics and Management, St. Petersburg, 2003.)
He has risen from an engineer of the Leningrad City Telephone Network (LCTN) to the General Manager of N.W.Telecom, the largest fixed communications operator in the North-West of Russia.
Since August 2004 up to this day, General Manager of JSC North-West Telecom.
