Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids increase the reliability of high-voltage lines

The branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (included in the Rosseti Group) - Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids approved a program for improving the reliability of 110 kV overhead lines. The program provides for the implementation of work on power lines aimed at the prevention of technological disturbances in the period between major repairs, which are carried out on all lines at least once every twelve years. The action plan developed by power engineers included lines where technological disturbances occurred three or more times during the year. At the first stage, power engineers conducted rounds and inspections of overhead lines, during which they revealed all the flaws that may affect reliability and lead to technological failures.

The state of isolation, the presence of tree-shrub vegetation, the state of supports, traverse, ground wire, grounding, sagging wires and their dimensions were taken into account. In addition, power engineers pay special attention to the state of protected zones - the presence of unauthorized buildings, the storage of various materials and garbage, as well as the roads that pass through protected zones for the passage of agricultural transport, etc. Based on the results of the inspections and depending on the degree of criticality of the overhead lines elements state, a detailed plan of measures was developed.

In 2019, work on the reliability improvement program is provided for the 110 kV Ulyanovskaya - Yazykovo overhead lines, Ulyanovskaya - Maina, Ulyanovskaya - Tsilna, Yazykovo - Karsun, Syzran - Koptevka. Syzran - Novyobraztsovo. Implementation of all activities will take place on the sidelines of other events under the annual production programs. Timely and successful implementation of all planned activities will significantly reduce the number of technological disturbances in the power grids and increase the reliability of power supply to consumers.
