Power energy specialists of Rosseti Volga are preparing for repair of power systems in te Penza region

Checking the readiness of production departments (PD) for the safe conduct of large-scale repairs at the equipment operated by the Penzaenergo branch of Rosseti Volga (brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC) has been performed from March 16 and will continue until April 30.

To carry out all the necessary measures, a special committee was created, which included specialists from labor protection and process safety, material and technical support services. The committee works in the territories of Penzenskoye, Kuznetskoye, Kamenskoye, Nizhnelomovskoye and Serdobskoye PDs.

The members of the committee are inspecting the state of material and technical resources, the availability of equipment and outfit required for the personnel’s work, as well as checking the readiness of special purpose machines. In addition, the power energy specialists conduct practical exercises with the use of special simulators for operational, operational-repair and repair teams, as well as theoretical and practical exercises on the subject of training in safe work methods. The 2020 repair campaign of the Penzaenergo branch includes the repair of 5.3 thousand km of 0.4–10 kV overhead lines and 1.9 thousand km of 35–110 kV overhead lines

. The specialists will replace 2.7 thousand wooden and reinforced concrete supports, over 5 thousand line insulators, as well as 73.5 km of wire and 5.7 km of lightning protection cable. They will also carry out current repairs at 715 transformer substations of 10/6/0.4 kV, overhaul at 65 substations of 110/35/10/6 kV. As part of the investment and repair programs, the Penzaenergo branch is planning to clear the overhead line routes on an area of 1 thousand ha. The power energy specialists will proceed to mass repair works in May of the current year.
