Specialists of Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) will soon complete the repair activities at the electrical grid facilities. By October 01, 2014, the repair activities will be completed at 0.4-10 kV overhead power transmission lines with the total length of 3,369 km and 35-110 kV overhead power transmission lines with the total length of 847 km. Besides, power engineers have already completed routine repairs at 1,003 6-10/0.4 kV transformer substations and overhaul repairs at 59 110/35/6-10 kV substations. In particular, they replaced 29 supports and 13,163 insulators at 35-110 kV overhead transmission line on a non-contracted basis. Other completed works include replacement of metal cross-arm beams, alignment of supports, etc. Vegetation management activities and extension of transmission line corridors covered the area of 846 ha. These works performed as part of the planned repair campaign are essential for safe and reliable operations during the autumn and winter seasons. On September 17-19, the final inspection was carried out to verify preparedness of Penzaenergo for the autumn and winter operational periods. A special commission appointed by IDGC of Volga, JSC signed the final inspection certificate confirming preparedness of Penzaenergo for operations during the autumn and winter seasons 2014-15.
