In 2003 V.Bank completed the migration of its VISA card base to smart cards of VSDC standard. The Bank has issued more than 300 thousand VISA cards, of which over 260 thousand are smart cards.
Ninety-six percent of the clients of the Bank are holders of cards of the VISA and MasterCard international payment systems. Most clients are employees of the Bank's corporate clients, who have issued cards for servicing payrolls.
The turnover on these card accounts in 2003 exceeded 15 billion RUR, with account balances amounting to 2 billion RUR by the end of the year. The bank's card infrastructure includes 244 publicly accessible ATMs, 153 of which are in Moscow Oblast, as well as 700 POS-terminals installed in sales outlets throughout the country. The Bank services VISA, MasterCard, CTB and Union Card.
V.Bank started to issue VISA cards in 1996. In 1998 the Bank became a Principal Member of both VISA and MasterCard payment systems. Since September 2001, the Bank also services Union Cards. V.Bank has its own processing center.
