ROSSETI

March 30, 2021

The head of Rosseti Andrey Ryumin spoke about the company's priorities at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy

The central theme of the meeting chaired by Andrey Kutepov was the participation of Rosseti in infrastructure projects of national importance, including the development of BAM and Transsib in accordance with the May decrees of the President of the Russian Federation.

Rosseti has already completed a number of major events related to increasing the capacity of railways. At the moment, 250 MVA of transformer capacity and more than 500 km of power lines have been commissioned. The approved plans for 2021–2022 include the commissioning of almost 1,000 MVA of new transformer capacity and more than 700 km of power transmission lines to supply BAM and Transsib. Among the major infrastructure projects is the reconstruction of 150 network facilities for the construction of the Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod - Kazan high-speed highway, - pointed out Andrey Ryumin.

The meeting participants discussed topics related to the regional development of the Russian Federation. Priority issues include:

·         Network infrastructure availability. Owing to the large-scale work carried out by Rosseti, Russia took a record 7th place in the Doing Business rating published in October 2019 in terms of “Connection to the power supply system”. The minimum task is to maintain a position in the top 10.

·         Entry into force of law No. 522-FZ. Even prior to the entry into force of the law, Rosseti carried out work on the implementation of smart meters. In 2020, Rosseti installed more than 1 million smart metering devices.

·         Forming a single center of responsibility. The company is systematically working to consolidate ownerless objects and networks of third-party owners in the regions of its presence.

·         Work in the conditions of COVID-19. The Rosseti priority is ensuring the uninterrupted power supply to hospitals, social organizations and infrastructure.
