The Gazprom Management Committee adopted the 2011–2015 Comprehensive Upgrade and Technical Re-equipment Program for the subsidiary companies dealing with well repair and maintenance.
Specialized structural units were charged to make provisions for the Comprehensive Program financing when compiling draft budgets and investment programs of Gazprom, Gazprom podzemremont Urengoy and Gazprom podzemremont Orenburg as well as to analyze the Program implementation on an annual basis.
Background:
Increment in gas and liquid hydrocarbons production is among Gazprom's strategic tasks. Planned production levels are directly related to ensuring high reliability and safety of the Company's production facilities, particularly through timely and quality repair and maintenance of production wells.
As of January 1, 2010 Gazprom Group possessed more than 13 thousand gas and oil production wells.
The bulk of operations related to Gazprom's well stock are carried out by well service subsidiaries Gazprom podzemremont Urengoy (in Western Siberia) and Gazprom podzemremont Orenburg (in the European part of Russia).
The Comprehensive Program for well service subsidiaries is focused on:
- implementing the 2011–2015 Geological and Engineering Operations Program for Gazprom's Well Stock endorsed by the Management Committee in October 2010;
- meeting the projected gas and liquid hydrocarbons production levels in 2011–2015;
- operating the well stock in a safe manner.
The program stipulates the upgrade of well service companies' specialized machinery and equipment as well as the procurement of dedicated equipment to extend the scope of well repair and maintenance services rendered.
