Operations Summary  

JSC “Volga Territorial Generation Company” (Volga TGC) was founded in August, 2005, within the framework of the power systems restructuring of Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, and Orenburg. Major activities of the company are electric and thermal power production, electric power sales at wholesale market, and heat supply to industrial and municipal consumers. Volga TGC started its operating activity on January 1, 2006. The company incorporates generation and grid assets of Samaraenergo, Saratovenergo, and Ulyanovskenergo in addition to wholly-owning shares of Orenburg TGC. In total, Volga TGC the Company consolidates 21 stations with a total electric power capacity of 6,879.7 MW and a thermal power capacity of 28,265 GCal. Volga TGC is the second largest TGC in Russia in terms of installed capacity. The electric power output of Volga TGC’s power plants was 22.52 billion kWh in 2006. The company plans to invest RUR9.3 billion to upgrade equipment in 2008 and to fund investment projects; from 2008 through 2012, the company plans to invest RUR32.4 billion.
