After V. Gorbachev "UTK" PJSC CEO had been elected the Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, I.F. Ignatenko who previously held the position of Director of "Kubanelectrosvyaz" was appointed General Director of "Southern Telecommunications Company" PJSC. S.V. Korotenko replaced him at the post of Deputy General Director of "UTK" PJSC and Director of the branch "Kubanelectrosvyaz".

Svetlana Korotenko is the only woman in Russia being at the head of one of the largest branch of mega-regional telecom company incorporating 17 structural subdivisions with over 10 000 employees on pay-roll.

"Kubanelectrosvyaz" is the largest and most perspective out of 10 "UTK" PJSC branches. The branch takes the leading position in terms of technical and economic indices. Share of "Kubanelectrosvyaz" in total "UTK" PJSC revenues stands at 29%.

In December 2003 the one millionth subscriber was connected to "Kubanelectrosvyaz" telephone network. As at January 1 2004 the branch's subscriber base amounted to 1 007 293 subscribers. Telephone density in the Krasnodar Territory is 24,9 telephones per 100 inhabitants. Digitization level of Kuban telephone network stands at 56,4%.

Biographical overview

Svetlana Vasilyevna Korotenko was born on October 17, 1962. She holds two university degrees, graduating from the Telecommunications Institute with a major in telecom engineering (1987) and from Russian Economic Academy named after Plekhanov with a major in finances and lending (2002).

She has been working in the sector of telecommunications since 1980. She started working as telegrapher and advanced to the position of the head of Vyselki Communications Center of "Kubanelectrosvyaz" PJSC. From 2000 to 2002 she held the position of the Director of Tikhoretsk Joint Telecom center.

Since October 2002 till January 2004 Svetlana Korotenko was employed as Deputy General Director of "Southern Telecommunications Company" PJSC on business development.
