The power engineers of the Samara DG start mass repairs

In the Samara Distribution Grids Branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (member of Rosseti Group), the works included in this-year repair program have commenced. In the coming months, the power engineers will have to repair and replace equipment of 35-110 kV substations, elements of 0.4-110 kV transmission lines, buildings and structures, as well as clear the glades of overhead line and improve power facilities.

The quality performance of mass repairs requires a great preliminary preparation. Training and practical lessons with staff were conducted in the Branch, all teams are provided with modern means of collective and individual protection, special clothes, tools and appliances as well as the required standards and technical documentation. Vehicles, hoisting machines and mechanisms are prepared. This year, the power engineers of Samara Distribution Grids will have to repair the equipment of all rates at 69 substations from 35 to 110 kV and 723 transformer substations from 6 to 10 kV, it is planned to repair 1,800 km of electricity transmission lines from 35 to 110 kV and more than 3,000 km of electricity transmission lines of distribution grids.

Clearing of more than 1,000 ha of overhead line rights-of-way will be performed. The works in the Branch have already begun. For the time of the World Cup in Samara, a regime of “technological silence” will be introduced in order to ensure the reliable power supply of sports and infrastructure facilities. However, this will not affect the performance of the repair program, and all work will be completed by the end of September.
