The RF Ministry of Communications has grantet OAO Uralsvyazinform an extension to its current license to provide GSM-1800 cellular communication services, which will enable the company to provide cellular com services within the Mhtz 1800 (DCS-1800) range in the Perm region.  This will make it possible in the future for the company to build a more flexible and efficient network in terms of zone coverage and lines in service. By virtue of its specific features the DCS-1800 standard will be used for network building in large cities of the Perm region, while GSM-900 will provide coverage to towns, villages and other rural areas in the region.
