“In particular there is one question that we are interested in, and the way it is resolved on the governmental level – possibility of participation in oil pipeline construction in Russia” – representative of “Total” announced during his presentation on the meeting of Minpromenergo RF and MEDEF (Mouvement des Entreprises de France), reports RIA Novosti.
Sergey Oganesyan, Head of Federal Energy Agency, who was also taking part in the meeting, answering the question from representative of French oil company, noted, that there are two ways to participate in oil and gas sector for foreign companies: independently from Transneft or in dependence of it. “Independently from Transneft in particular work Sakhalin projects based on the PSA” – he noted.
Oganesyan stressed, that above mentioned options for foreign participants in oil and gas projects there is another option, which is “additional”. “There can be a foreign participation subject to condition where controlling stock remains state owned” stated head of Energy Agency.
French oil company “Total” over a few years cooperates with some Russian fuel and energy companies.
