CenterTelecom Moscow branch is planning to reduce the total number of towns lacking telephone communications in Moscow region by the order of two

Moscow, December 8, 2004. CenterTelecom Moscow branch management assigned the top priority to the development of ?P?-1327 modern mobile trunking radio telephony systems in 2005. The use of this communication system allows CenterTelecom Moscow branch to solve several problems arising at providing telephone communications in the countryside.

When connected to ?P?-1327 telephony communication service, the subscriber will receive a local telephone line and can use a regular stationary telephone to make calls. The advantages of ???-1327 communication system are as follows:

  • Solving the problem of great distances: the base station coverage is 35-40 km;
  • Relatively small capital investment and low cost of communication services;
  • Reduced construction time ranging from several weeks to six months after the frequencies have been allocated;
  • Low maintenance cost;
  • Fast connection of subscribers (2-3 days after the contract with the subscriber has been signed).

In Q1 2005 CenterTelecom Moscow branch plans to commission 6 base stations of ?P?-1327 mobile trunking radio telephony systems in Lukhovitsy, Serebryanye Prudy, Kolomna, Naro-Fominsk, Istra, Solnechnogorsk with the total line capacity of 800 numbers. In Q2, 3 base stations in Volokolamsk, Lotoshino, and Shakhovskaya with the total line capacity of 500 numbers will be commissioned. In 2H 2005 the company plans to build and commission base stations in the cities of Schelkovo, Serpukhov, Protvino, and Dubna with the total capacity of 800 numbers.

The new base stations will allow providing telephone communications in 653 rural settlements in H1 and 138 in the second half of 2005, which will reduce the total number of populated areas without telephone communications by the order of two.
