On February 24, 2004 the prize “Russian Business Leader in Telecommunications and Communications” was awarded to “North-West Telecom” General Director Sergey Kuznetsov and Regional Director of the “North-West Telecom” branch “Petersburg telephone network” Igor Samylin. The ceremony was held within the framework of the exhibition “Norwecom-2004”.

The prize is awarded to 10 best Russian managers in the industry, based on the “Russian Manager Professionalism Ratings”. The ratings are determined under the independent expert evaluations method developed by the Managers Association jointly with the Publishing House “Kommersant” and are examined by Deloitte & Touche.

The members of the Prize Organizing Committee were: B.D. Antonyuk First Deputy Minister for Communications and Informatization of Russia Federation, General Director of “Svyazinvest” JSC V.N. Yashin, Executive Director of the Managers Association S.E. Litovchenko, Rector of the Prof. Bonch-Bruyevich State Telecommunications University, Prof. A.A. Gogol and President of the exhibition company “Restek” S.N. Trofimov.

The prize “Russian Business Leader in Telecommunications and Communications” is the sign of recognition and appreciation of the achievements of best Russian managers in the field of telecommunications.
