On February 20, 2004 Internet-Center “6 FLOOR” was opened, the access to Internet there is provided by OJSC “VolgaTelecom” Nizhny Novgorod branch. 

Working space of 1100 square meters accommodates over 200 work stations equipped with modern PCs, 17” TFT monitors and high-rate access to Internet. For the Internet-center operation the experts of OJSC “VolgaTelecom” specially laid fiber-optic communication lines, they provided access to Internet by applying ETHERNET technology (permanent high-rate connection allowing for operation in the network at the rates up to 100 Mbps). Flexible pricing policy and high quality of access to Internet enable high schoolers to use the services of the center, in the first place they will be interested in the games hall with a wide set of popular Internet games; the center will also attract the students who will be able to find any information having visited Internet-resources of global virtual library. And for a novice businessman Internet-center will become a comfortable office where it will be possible to fix meetings, to effect negotiates in Italian coffee house where they serve true Sicilian coffee.

This project was realized within the terms of bilateral agreement for exclusive telecommunications servicing signed by OJSC “VolgaTelecom” and CJSC “Group of companies Altex” early 2003. It is already more than a year when OJSC “VolgaTelecom” started the practice of signing the contracts on exclusive telecommunications servicing with large organizations from Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhny Novgorod oblast. Over 80 organizations have already become VIP-customers of OJSC “VolgaTelecom”.
