SUN Interbrew launches production of its beer in a breakthrough packaging.

February 9, 2004 – The Ivanovo brewery, an enterprise within SUN Interbrew group of companies, has launched Sibirskaya Korona Georgievskoye (4,7% alc.). The new beer will be bottled in 0,5 l PIVOPACK® bottles. The format of this packaging is an innovation not only for SUN Interbrew but for the whole Russian beer market.

A PIVOPACK® 0.5 l bottle can be called packaging of the new generation. Its unique qualities allow it to stand out among traditional plastic packages. PIVOPACK® has been developed by Interbrew. Its unique barrier properties protect the liquid from oxygen and light, whilst keeping the carbonation inside the bottle. As a result, beer in PIVOPACK® is of the same quality as beer in a glass bottle. Until quite recently SUN Interbrew produced beer in 1 litre and 1.5 litre PIVOPACK® bottles. The new 0.5 l format will provide new experiences and possibilities to customers. Such elements as silvery tint and unusual form of the bottle, as well as a metallized label emphasize the best features of Sibirskaya Korona: exquisite taste, rich colour and premium quality.

Sibirskaya Korona Georgievskoye will be distributed nationwide. It will be promoted through a large-scale outdoor advertising campaign.
