JSOC Bashneft affirms to Rosnedra plans for production testing at Trebs and Titov fields

JSOC Bashneft has affirmed its project for production testing at the Trebs and Titov fields with the Central Development Commission of the Federal Agency on Mineral Resources (Rosnedra).

BashNIPIneft, Bashneft’s general contractor for engineering design for development and surface facilities at the Trebs and Titov oil fields, prepared the project for production testing. The committed project sets forth the major parameters for field development during the initial stage, a term of three years beginning when oil is produced at the recovery wells.

“Affirmation of the project for production testing with the Central Development Commission,” explained Bashneft’s vice president for geology and production, Yuri Krasnevsky, “enables the company to carry out its program for survey work. That work is an essential step in refining information on the fields’ reserves, in elaborating the technological plan for development, and in preparing the detailed engineering design for the fields’ infrastructure. It also allows the company to initiate production drilling.”

Background:

Bashneft was awarded the license for exploration and production of hydrocarbon resources at this subsoil area of federally significance, which includes fields named for Roman Trebs and Anatoly Titov, in February 2011. The fields are located in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug in Russia’s Arctic region. Total recoverable reserves in categories C1 and C2 at the fields have been estimated according to the Russian classification system and placed on the state balance at 140.1 million tons.
