SITRONOCS establishes the Chair of functional nano-electronics in the Moscow Physical and Technical Institute

Moscow, October 21, 2011 – JSC SITRONICS (LSE:SITR), a leading supplier of solutions in the field of telecommunications, information technologies and microelectronics in Russia and CIS announces the establishment of the Chair of functional nano-eolectronics by its subsidiary SITRONICS  Microelectronics as a part of the faculty of physical and quantum electronics in the National Research University “Moscow Physical and Technical Institute”.

The Chair trains the highly skilled professionals capable to adopt, develop and install the high-end technologies in the field of nano- and microelectronics. The Chair will be training the bachelors in physics of quantum electronics and masters in physical technology of nano – electrical devices. The students’ enlistment is in progress currently.

In framework of establishment of the Chair a working meeting took place on October 7, 2011 on Micron plant, which is a part of the structure of SITRONICS Microelectronics. The meeting was attended by the Vice-President of SITRONICS, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mr. Gennadiy Krasnikov and the delegation of the Moscow Physical and Technical Institute, which included the rector of the MPTI corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mr. Nikolay Kudryavtsev, the Dean of the faculty of physical and quantum electronics, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Pavel Todua, lecturers and postgraduate students. The leading specialists of the enterprise presented to the delegation of MPTI the main fields of scientific work and of production. The participants of the meeting discussed the perspectives of cooperation development and action plan to support the activity of the new Chair.

Along with cooperation with MPTI, SITRONICS Microelectronics established and coordinated the work of the Chair of the sub-micron technology of VLSIC in the National Research University “Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering”, where the governor is Mr. Gennadiy Krasnikov.

Therefore, the cooperation and partnership of SITRONICS Microelectronics with the leading technical universities, such as MIEE and MPTI play a key role in development of the most technologically advanced enterprise for nano-electronics production. Our experience demonstrated that the investments of business into personnel always pay off. In Micron we established a system for personnel training, which allows the young professionals to get practical experience and to get familiarized with the high-end technologies and, finally, to aid in achievement of our strategic goal: domination on the domestic market and positioning in local segments of the global market”, - noticed Mr. Gennadiy Krasnikov.
