Steel used for manufacturing devices operating in high-pressure conditions has been produced by the Company for many years for such industrial sectors as petrochemical and fuel & energy complex. The products are manufactured in compliance with Russian GOSTs. Besides, the Company has Lloyd's Register certificates on manufacture of steel grades for boilers and pressure vessels.

At the same time, in order to further extend sales markets and to reinforce JSC Severstal image as a reliable supplier, the Company's aim is to obtain a certificate from TUV CERT certification body, giving the right to produce steel in accordance with provision 97/23/EG- on pressure vessels.

In the course of audit, TUV inspection group carried out checking similar application (for boilers) steel grades production at all stages of technological chain. The scope of audit included such procedures as: normative and process documentation management at JSC Severstal; organizational structure and production at HRS-1; the procedure of steel products sampling and testing; finished products assessment and shipment.

An official TUV CERT decision on the delivery of certificate concerning the manufacture of products as per provision 97/23/?G for pressure devices will be taken before the end of the year.
