Today at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2011 in the presence of Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Gazprom komplektatsiya and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company signed the Agreement for the delivery of ten Sukhoi Superjet 100/95LR aircraft (longer range version) for Gazprom avia Aviation Company.

The aircraft are to be delivered between 2013 and 2015.

Under the signed Agreement Gazprom avia Aviation Company plans to substitute the entire fleet of Yak-42 aircraft with Sukhoi Superjet 100/95LR in a phased manner.

Sukhoi Superjet purchase allows the Aviation Company to significantly raise profitability of air carriage by means of increased fuel efficiency of the new aircraft as well as reduced cost and duration of their maintenance and repair.

In addition, the compliance of Sukhoi Superjet with the noise standards and the aviation safety requirements set forth by the European Union, other countries and the International Civil Aviation Organization contributes to cost reduction of the Aviation Company.

In the presence of Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Gazprom avia Aviation Company and Russian Helicopters Holding inked an agreement of intent for delivery of 39 MI‑8AMT helicopters in various family modifications: cargo, passenger and convertible.

The helicopters are to be delivered between 2012 and 2016.

The purchase of MI‑8AMT allows to ensure scheduled helicopters replacement and expansion of the fleet to support new fields and the Russian Unified Gas Supply System.

Background

Sukhoi Superjet 100 – is a new generation 100 seat regional jet designed, developed and built by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company in partnership with Alenia Aeronautica. On May 19, 2008 Sukhoi Superjet 100 successfully accomplished its first flight. Its maximum cruise speed – Mach 0.81, maximum cruise altitude – 12,200 meters. The ranges for the basic version and the longer range version are 3,048 kilometers and 4,578 kilometers respectively. The Sukhoi Superjet 100/95LR list price is USD 32.3 billion.

MI‑8AMT is produced by Russian Helicopters Holding. The maximum speed of the helicopter is 250 kilometers per hour, the maximum range – 1,100 kilometers, the maximum takeoff weight – 13 tons, the maximum payload – 4 tons in a hull or on a sling.
