The Memorandum of Understanding between IDGC of Siberia and the Russia's representative office of the French company SAFT has been signed in the presence of Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of PJSC ROSSETI. 

SAFT is the world's recognized leading designer and manufacturer of lithium-based batteries and accumulators for industrial, military and space-related application. Vitaly Ivanov, Director General of IDGC of Siberia, stressed that SAFT innovative solutions in energy storage system can be effectively used in Siberia. "There are some remote settlements the electric power supply to which is often provided due to diesel generators. Certainly, this is not the most effective technical solution that affects both the quality of electricity and its cost for consumers. Additional energy storage to be placed in a settlement can be a solution to this situation that will allow to smooth consumption and load peaks, save fuel and, most importantly, to ensure continuous supply of such settlement when starting and stopping diesel generators," Vitaly Ivanov said. 

David Christoph Masgrangeas, Director General of SAFT Russian Representative Office, shared that the parties will establish pilot project and determine the territory for its implementation in the IDGC of Siberia's activitiy area. 

Pavel Livinskiy, Head of ROSSETI, focused on a high potential of collaboration between IDGC of Siberia and SAFT and expressed the willingness to intensify the contacts with French manufacturers in order to exchange experience in creating digital networks and implementing the best innovative solutions into power grids.

It should be recalled that, on May 25, along with the heads of leading Russian companies, Pavel Livinskiy will participate in the event called 'Russia - France Business Dialogue'.
