The Acting Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom Alexander Ananenkov held a conference on the problems of the branch pipeline construction to the cities of Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk. Representatives of the Arkhangelsk oblast Administration attended the conference.

The conference participants discussed the topic of the construction funding, pipeline facilities design and making up amendments and supplements to the Agreement on joint construction of the branch line to Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk between Gazprom, Severgazprom and the Arkhangelsk oblast Administration.

The parties have determined the pipeline operator – OOO Severgazprom.

The Agreement on joint construction of the branch gas pipeline to Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk between Gazprom, Severgazprom and the Arkhangelsk oblast Administration was signed on 13 December, 2003.

The Agreement on the 5-year long cooperation between Gazprom and the Arkhangelsk oblast was signed on 5 October, 2004. The Agreement stipulates, as one of the clauses, construction of the branch gas pipeline to Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk.

Severgazprom is a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom. The length of the gas transmission grid operated by Severgazprom is over 9.3 thousand km; the grid includes 78 gas-distributing stations.
