This week “RosOboronExport” federal unitary enterprise took part at traditional AeroSpaceDefense-2004 military vehicle exhibition in the Republic of South Africa. At the extensive exposition of RosOboronExport there were also presented products of KAMAZ Inc.

Until now the south of Africa was a kind of terra incognito for KAMAZ. In May 2004 the Company took part in international Motor Show in Namibia. However there are no KAMAZ dealers in SAR yet to get KAMAZ vehicles prepared for pre-sale presentation. This is why it was decided to start advertising KAMAZ vehicles to local customers, companies and government through a KAMAZ Inc.’s stand at the exhibition.

Thus, KAMAZ Inc. has for the first time officially entered southern part of Africa since 1992, when KAMAZ sports trucks participating in Paris - Cape Town Rally reached Cape of Good Hope. It is believed that following these first KAMAZ trucks exhibited at the Show next to come will be commercial vehicles for marketing in the Republic of South Africa.
