A certification audit of the industrial and labour safety system has been completed at MMK.
    The audit was conducted by experts of ZAO Bureau Veritas Rus which visited the main shops and divisions of the enterprise. Based on the inspection's results a decision was taken on the compliance of the MMK Industrial and Labour Safety Management System with the OHSAS 18001:1999 standards. The system was recommended for certification.
    Much attention is being paid at MMK to labour safety and prevention of occupational injuries. Supported by the trade union, the industrial shops have a system of elected representatives in charge of labour protection. Every year special reviews take place dedicated to labour safety and minimization of occupational injuries. The Company spends about RUR 150 million annually to improve the employees' safety and working conditions.
