Chuvashenergo started works to implement repair program

The power engineers of Chuvashenergo, which is a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a part of Rosseti Group), have proceeded to implementation of the 2018 repair program. Early start of repair works is related to FIFA World Cup held in the area of technological responsibility of IDGC of Volga this year. In February and March, power engineers will perform only those works that may be performed under conditions of low ambient air temperatures and only at those facilities, shutdown of which for maintenance will not threaten reliability of power supply to consumers. In the near future, repair works will be related to replacement of equipment in certain areas of overhead lines and clearing of security areas of overhead lines.

All in all, in 2018, Chuvashenergo branch is planning to repair 2,078.7 km of power lines of all voltage classes, 486 transformer substations of 10/6/0.4 kV and to perform capital repair of 40 substations of 35-110 kV. During the works at substations of 35-110 kV it is expected to repair 158 circuit breakers of 6-110 kV, 46 isolating switches and short-circuiters and 139 disconnecting devices.

In 2018, the key comprehensive repair facility will be SS 110/35/10 kV Komsomolskaya, one of the significant SS of the branch. The substation provides for the power supply of both population of Komsomolsky district and socially important and industrial facilities such as schools, kindergartens, Central District Hospital, medical and obstetric centers, physical culture and sports complex “Ketne”, bread-baking plant, water towers, etc.

The main equipment repair scheme for 2018 also provides for cleaning of power line routes of all voltage classes from trees and shrubs on the total area of 586.2 ha.

The repair works are focused on ensuring due level of serviceability of the electric grid equipment, fault-free power supply of consumers residing on the territory of Chuvash Republic, and on preventing breakdowns and failures of the electric power plants. The power engineers will proceed to mass repair works in May of the current year.
