Power engineers of Samara distribution grids are preparing for repair program implementation

Around 277 million RUR have been allocated for the repair program of Samara Distribution Grids Branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (member of Rosseti Group) in the current year. This includes repair of grid facilities of all voltage classes, equipment replacement, clearing of power transmission lines and landscaping of power facilities.

The plan includes facilities for both major overhaul and routine maintenance: 69 substations 35-110 kV and 723 transformer substations of 6-10 kV. At power facilities 5 power transformers of 35-110 kV, 209 break switches, 282 circuit breakers, 180 isolating switches and short circuitors will undergo major overhaul, and 8 high voltage bushings and more than 13 thousand insulators will be replaced. Besides, repair is scheduled for more than 1,800 km of 35-110 kV power transmission lines and more than 3,000 km of power transmission lines in distribution grids. One of components of the repair program is clearing of power transmission line routes.

It is scheduled to clear 1000 ha in this year from bushes and trees. The repair campaign of Samara Distribution Grids is performed in accordance with the approved schedules. Mass works will start in spring. However, in the current year equipment maintenance will be complicated. Since the FIFA World Cup will be held in Samara, works will be divided into 2 parts - before and after the Cup. Nevertheless, all works will be completed by the end of September. Performance of the repair program makes it possible to improve reliability and to reduce incident rate under adverse weather conditions.
