Power engineers of Penzaenergo Branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (member of Rosseti Group) will start performance of the 2018 repair program in the near future, as soon as the necessary materials and equipment are delivered.

Early start of repair works scheduled two months earlier than usual is related to FIFA World Cup held in the area of technological responsibility of IDGC of Volga this year. In February and March power engineers will perform only those works that may be performed under conditions of low ambient air temperatures and only at those facilities, shutdown of which for maintenance will not threaten reliability of power supply to consumers. In the near future repair works will be related to replacement of equipment in certain areas of overhead lines and clearing of security areas of overhead lines. I

n 2018 Penzaenergo plans to repair 5,956 km of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines and 1,472 km of 35−110 kV overhead lines. Besides, power engineers will replace 4103 wooden and reinforced concrete supports, 10,464 line insulators and 66.5 km of wires and 6.6 of earth wires. Besides, within the 2018 repair campaign power engineers will repair 876 transformer substations of 10/6/0.4 kV. Major overhaul is scheduled at 89 substations with voltage of 110/35/10/6 kV.

Within performance of such works at 35-110 kV substations, 197 circuit breakers of 6-110 kV, 346 isolating switches, short circuitors, break switches will be repaired, 198 stick-pedestal insulators will be replaced. In accordance with the approved long-term program of overhead line clearing for 2018, within the investment and repair programs, works are scheduled in Penzaenergo Branch to clear and expand overhead line routes in the volume of 1,285.36 ha.
