Reconstruction of “Chertanovo” substation continues

According to the investment program of JSC “MOESK”, the branch Central Electric Grids conducts replacement of the equipment at the substation “Chertanovo”.
As of today, the specialists of CEG have replaced two autotransformers of 200 kVA each by more reliable and modern ones f 250 kVA. Owing to this, the power of the substation is increased by 100 kVA. New transformers ensure uninterrupted delivery of electricity to the consumers and enable connection of new objects to the substation, as may be necessary.
Besides, the power specialists plan to commission a new complete switching centre with hexafluorated sulfur insulation within the framework of reconstruction. The construction of the building to room it has been already started. But these are only some of the actions. According to Ivan Abramenkov, Chief of the Warsaw group of substations of CEG, “replacement of two voltage supplementary transformers of 40 kVA by 63 kVA transformers is stipulated, which will allow to meet the growing demands for technical connection”. The total power of the substation after the end of the reconstruction actions will approximate 700 kVA.

“Chertanovo” 220/110/10 kV substation is a part of the district high-voltage electric grids of the Southern Administrative District. It provides supply of electricity to the inhabited areas “Southern Chertanovo”, “Northern Chertanovo” and “Biryulevo” and feeds a part of the facilities of the Moscow underground and railway sector.
