Analysts include MOESK in five most ethic companies of Russia

The well-known New York scientific research institute Ethisphere Institute has published the fifth annual list of the most ethic companies of the world. It included 110 largest companies from more than 100 countries of the world.
No any Russian company is among the winners. At the same time, some of them could be worthy challengers in “ethics” in comparison with the leading western companies, according to Alexey Kostin, executive director of NP “Corporate Social Responsibility - Russian Center”. Moscow United Electric Grid Company is named among five possible leaders.
The methodology of the rating is based on estimation of such categories as corporate civil liability; corporate governance; innovation-based contribution to public welfare; leadership in sector; management style and predominating spirit; legal regulation and reputation; internal ethics system and its observance.
The indicators of Moscow United Electric Grid Company, besides the experts in the field of the social responsibility of business draw attention of investment analysts.
First of all, this is caused by introduction of long-term tariff methodology which guarantees return on the invested capital, and income per the invested funds in the long-term prospect. According to the analysts, MOESK has the best market in Russia, which combines solvent consumers and their high concentration in the territory.
As at 19 April 2010, the consensus recommendation of the leading investment banks and funds in respect of the shares of JSC “MOESK” is “to hold”. At the same time, according to the analysts’ estimations, the shares of the Company have a significant potential for growth.
