The trading subsidiary, registered as Uralkali Trading SA, will open in Geneva on December 15, 2004. Uralkali is the only owner of the new company. Setting up the Uralkali Trading SA is the next step in realization of the Uralkali group's long-term strategy.

Uralkali Trading SA will be in charge of marketing and selling the production of the potash company all over the World. The convenient location in the one of the World business cities will enable the new company to work directly with the major buyers as well as react to the changes in the potash market on-the-fly.

Uralkali Trading SA will be fully responsible for the large-scaled realization of the Uralkali's marketing strategy and direct sales.

The Uralkali's management believes that establishment of Uralkali Trading SA will significantly increase the competitiveness of the whole Uralkali group as well as make for maximum meeting the growing client requirements.

In line with the Uralkali Trading SA's establishment, the company's regional agent policy is being revised. Uralkali has declared that the trade agreements with the local traders to be revised in Asia, India and Latin America as from June 1, 2005.

This is caused by the company transition to the new sales strategy on the key global markets.
