For the two quarters of this year 36,452 passenger cars (+32,1%), 77,861 trucks (+14%) including 8,779 medium weight trucks (+33,1%) were sold. Spare parts were sold for the amount of 1 963.1 million rubles.
Export sales to CIS and distant foreign countries amounted to 24,320 vehicles and autokits which is by 45% more than in the first six months of 2003. Positive sales dynamics is connected with the introduction of "JSC GAZ Production System" aimed at increasing quality of products, gradual raising of the production of Volga GAZ-31105 restyling version, Sadko medium weight trucks with diesel engine of Minsk Motor Plant as well as the improvements in working with the GAZ commodity distribution network.
The Business plan for the third quarter of 2004 envisages sale of 60,714 vehicles and autokits.
