Deputy to the General Director for mobile communication was appointed in OJSC “VolgaTelecom”. It is General Director of CJSC “Nizhny Novgorod Cellular Communication” Mr. Mikhail Petrov, who will exercise his new functions in OJSC “VolgaTelecom” pluralistically.

Mr. Mikhail Victorovich Petrov was borne on February 18, 1973, has higher technical education and MBA degree. In 1995 he joined communication industry, since 1998 he had been technical director of CJSC “Saratov-Mobile”. In 1999 he was appointed the General Director of mobile communication company in Saratov, and then in 2001 he headed Nizhny Novgorod cellular company – CJSC “Nizhny Novgorod Cellular Communication” where is currently the General Director.

At present OJSC “VolgaTelecom” to a greater or lesser extent controls 14 mobile communication services providers operating in 11 oblasts and republics of Volga region. The Company is realizing a number of large scale projects, one of them is the program of optimization and development of its cellular business. The issue of changing the organizational structure and introducing the post of deputy to the General Director for mobile communication was considered and approved by the Board of directors of OJSC “VolgaTelecom” in winter 2003.
