High Voltage Cable Networks JSC “MOESK” Branch Review 2010 Investment Program Performance

Due to results of 2010, all branches of Joint-Stock Company “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” have successfully implemented required amounts of works on objects building and reconstruction. Specifically, High Voltage Cable Networks (HVCN) has spent over RUR 945 million on implementation of the investment program. Fixed assets input equaled about RUR 1 billion, 900 million. Under the investment program, 7,500 meters of 110 kV cable lines were laid. Building of 110 kV cable approaches to “MGU” substation was completed. Connection equipment under title was installed and put into operation, as follows: “Beskudnikovo220 kV Cable High-Voltage Line – HPP-27” cable approaches to “Babushkin” substation. Besides, under the title, a transition through Yauza river (collector with 3.2-3.6 diameter, and 348 m length) was carried out. Under the title “Tsentral’naya – Mayakovskaya 110 kV Cable Line No.1, No2”, pipes for cable line laying were put in 2010. In 2011, reconstruction of this cable line is to be completed.

Reliable electric energy provision of consumers at the territory of Moscow is being carried out by three branches of JSC “MOESK”.
High Voltage Cable Networks provide for reliable electric energy supply to consumers at the territory of Moscow and Moscow vicinity. Responsibility area of HVCN includes over 280 110-500 kV high voltage electric energy transmission lines for total length of about 900 km, and 1,125 cable constructions. Cable and cable-overhead lines of HVCN make connections among more than 150 feeding centers. Electric energy passing through grids of HVCN branch equaled more than 73 billion kWt-hour in 2010.
Structure of Central Electric Networks includes 124 units of 35-110-220 kilovolt (kV) substations, 35-110-220 kV overhead electric energy transmission lines for total length exceeding 1,144 km, and over 500 km of 0.4-20 kV energy transmission cable lines located within the capital.
Moscow Cable Networks, a branch of JSC “MOESK” serves 0.4-20 kV and 35 kV electric grids for total length exceeding 69,426 km, and 17,243 distributive and transformer substations at Moscow.
