On May 28, the city of Ufa hosted a solemn Meeting held on the occasion of a 50-year anniversary of Bashtransgaz, a Gazprom subsidiary. Murtaza Rakhimov, President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, members of Bashkortostan's Government, Gazprom's delegation headed by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee, top managers of Gazprom's subsidiaries, the gas industry veterans living in Ufa and Bashtransgaz's team took part in the Meeting.

Alexey Miller, Gazprom's Management Committee Chairman sent his greetings to Bashtransgaz's team, stating, in particular, that "today Bashkiria is holding one of the leading positions as for its gas supply network development level. Bashtransgaz is dealing with a 1/5 of the total gas transmitted throughout the country. On the company's 50-year anniversary, I'am wishing Bashtransgaz's team new operating achievements, success and happiness."

As of today, Bashtransgaz comprises 16 affiliates, with over 5 thousand people employed. Bashtransgaz's specialists are operating more than 5 thousand km of 200-1,420mm gas pipelines, 124 gas-pumping units with a total installed capacity of 970 thousand kW, 11 motor-gas-filling and 149 gas distribution stations as well as the Kanchurinsko-Musinsky integrated undeground gas storage facility.
