Within 25-30 May there took place exhibition in Kiev, Ukraine. KAMAZ Inc. exhibited there its 20t payload KAMAZ-6520 dump truck, a haulage KAMAZ-5460 prime mover with a 10,8t load fifth-wheel device that is assembled to meet European standards, a 5t payload KAMAZ-4308 city delivery truck, and a SB-581461 mixer on KAMAZ-6520 chassis.

KAMAZ Inc. was much interested to participate in this exhibition, as Ukraine is currently one of the most dynamically developing markets at which KAMAZ products are of large demand. Within 1999-2003 total sales volumes there have increased by 14 times. This year KAMAZ is planning to deliver about 1000 trucks of various modifications to Ukraine. Delivery of spare parts to it will increase by 2 times vs. 2003. Such a success of KAMAZ products can be explained by several reasons, the main of which is a steady growth of the national economy and GNP of Ukraine (4- 6% annually) that increases solvent demand for trucks.

KAMAZ Inc. took advantage of such a favorable situation and aimed much effort at development of its own distribution and service network in close cooperation with local distributors. In the nearest future it is planned to restore the whole range of former KAMAZ service centers in all 25 regions of Ukraine.

Diversification of a KAMAZ family trucks from 3 to 30t payload, which specifications and performance characteristics cover the whole range of customers' demand, make it possible to timely meet a constantly growing demand. Among the most popular models today are side trucks and prime movers, including also the latest models. Ukraine has a growing demand in special vehicles with superstructures such as KAMAZ-55102 and -45142 dump trucks with three-side unloading, mixers on KAMAZ-6520 chassis, cranes of 16-25t capacity, etc.

The market of Ukraine is opened for all CIS and world manufacturers. It is a good opportunity for KAMAZ to compare competitiveness of its vehicles with those of other OEMs. Steady growth of sales volumes in Ukraine proves that KAMAZ trucks can stand such a competition successfully.

Exhibition in Kiev closes spring presentation of KAMAZ Inc. outside Russia. Only in May the Company participated in shows in Belorussia ("Motorshow-2004", Minsk), Kazkhstan ("The World of Vehicle", Astana), Namibia ("Windhook Expo", Windhook).
