Moscow, 31 July 2007. The executives of the parent company of INTER RAO UES Group approved the concept for a corporate IT management system to be implemented at all enterprises of the holding company.
The management system's scope of tasks has now been defined. It covers such major functions as support for continuity of operation of the power system within the Group (planning and record-keeping of repairs on facilities, equipment record-keeping, management of procurement and investment projects), “transparency” and controllability of business operations (unified reporting, integrated and manageable budget), reduction of costs, improvement in the quality of management and increase in capitalization of the Group.
Key business processes have already been identified that provide the platform for the system's implementation: first among them are standardization of operating procedures and certification of systems’ components. Under the plans, this means that similar enterprises of the Group will have a range of off-the-shelf solutions produced, and that all companies will have their engineering policies standardized, with the enterprises’ local networks integrated into a single information space.
The plans provide for cutting-edge IT solutions to be used in developing and implementing the corporate integrated IT management system. With a view to customizing the system for business specific, considerable number of its modules will be developed with involvement of the Group staff.
