Eduard Ivanovich Tumashevsky is appointed Regional Manager / General Manager of Pskov Branch, N.W.Telecom . Eduard Tumashevsky started his service as Regional Manager on March 1, 2009.

Eduard Tumashevsky was born on May 23, 1970 in Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia. He graduated   from the St. Petersburg Bonch-Bruyevich University of Telecommunications in 1995 with a diploma in “Automatic Telecommunications”. He started his career in 1993 as electrician, and then telecommunication engineer of the Automation Dept., Petrozavodsk Telegraph & Telephone Station (TTS), branch of Elektrosvyaz Co. of the Republic of Karelia. From July 1997 he served as Head of the Automation Dept., Petrozavodsk TTS of Elektrosvyaz Co. of the Republic of Karelia. In November 1999 he was appointed Head of the Telecommunications Dept., OJSC Elektrosvyaz of the Republic of Karelia, and in November 2002, Head of the Operation Dept., Elektrosvyaz of the Republic of Karelia Branch, N.W.Telecom. From October 2003 he served as Development Manager, and from December 2003, Technical Director of Karelian Branch, N.W.Telecom. On February 9, 2009 he was transferred to the position of First Associate Regional Manager / General Manager of Pskov Branch, N.W.Telecom.

In 2004, completed training under the “Management Basics and Teambuilding” and “Operations Management” programs, and corporate training under the “Strategic Management” top managers development program. He is currently attending the “Corporate Leader” top managers training program.

For his personal contribution to development and improvement of telecommunication facilities and service quality, and for many years of faultless service, he was awarded an Honorary Diploma of JSC   Communication Investment Company.

Under the direct management of, and with personal contribution by Mr. Tumashevsky , the EWSD long-distance exchange in Petrozavodsk was started up; several district centers of the Republic were digitized using RSU and RDLU remote modules of the EWSD switching system (Siemens) with internal traffic looping controlled from an EWSD host in Petrozavodsk; and a relay line more than 65 kilometers long was built over the surface of Lake Onega. As part of implementation of the “Education” top-priority national project, high-speed access to the Internet was provided for 192 schools of Karelia; the universal communication service program using payphones was implemented completely and within the target dates; and an xDSL-based broadband access network was built.

Under the leadership of Eduard Tumashevsky, Pskov Branch of N.W.Telecom will continue the development of the region’s telecommunication networks and advanced communication facilities, and implementation of national projects for the benefit of residents and corporations of Pskov Oblast.

Viktor I. Plyachenko who previously served as Regional Manager / General Manager of Pskov Branch, N.W.Telecom, on March 1, 2009 he was transferred to the position of First Associate Regional Manager / General Manager of St. Petersburg Branch, N.W.Telecom.
