Pervouralsk CHPP is the main source of heat for the consumers of Pervouralsk town. The plant supplies heat power and steam to Pervouralsk pipe producing plant, “Russian Chrome” plant, bread-baking complex and other production enterprises. Last summer winter-preparation repair campaign of the Plant included overhaul of steam generating unit #3, of turbo-generating set #1 including excitation system reconstruction as well as current repairs of five turbine units, three boilers and Chimney#4 reconstruction. Pervouralsk CHPP’s preparation for the winter period was completed in accordance with the established schedules.

The members of the autumn-winter period readiness inspection commission performed their work in every work shop: they checked the equipment readiness, required materials availability, fuel storage, production facilities condition, stuff’s readiness. The Commission included specialists on power and heat supply; specialists on safety requirements and managers of “Ural Generation” division as well as representatives of the territorial center “Uralenergotekhnadzor”. Based on the results of the inspection the plant is recognized to be ready for operation in conditions of autumn-winter period.

As mentioned by the commission’s chief member – the manager of the department on repairs and maintenance of “Ural Generation” Evgeniy Grishin: “Competent and interested in work stuff prepared the plant for the operation at autumn-winter conditions very well. I have no doubts that heat supply to the consumers of Pervouralsk will be reliable and uninterrupted”.

In October Readiness Certificates on autumn-winter maximum performance will be given to the other production subdivisions of “Ural Generation” acting on the territory of Sverdlovsk Region.

IES-Holding “Ural Generation” Division incorporates generating and heat supply assets of JSC “TGC-5” and JSC “TGC-9”. The division includes 34 power plants located in seven subjects of the Russian Federation: Perm region, Sverdlovsk and Kirov regions, Udmurtian and Chuvashia Republics, Komi and Mari El Republics. The installed power capacity of the generating assets of the Division is 5782 MWt, the heat capacity is 25 818 GKal/h.

Ural Generation’s control centre is situated in Perm city. Personnel include over 17 thousand people. The division manager is the executive Vice-president of “IES” Andrey Makarov.
