Perm. Due to the high tempo of economical efficiency growth and transparency of ecological reporting the shares of the Company were included into calculation basis of NERAX-Eco-2 ecologic stock index.

The rating of socio-ecological responsibility was made up by the Independent Ecologic Rating Agency (ANO NERA) and the International socio-ecologic union together with Greenpeace of Russia. To take part in the rating the industrial companies as well as the Russian Regions have to disclose in public the forms of ecologic reporting (2tp-water, 2tp-air, 2tp-wastes). In 2006 TGC-9 invested about 100mln RUR into environmental protection and rational usage of natural resources. The priority directions of the environmental activity of the Company were the protection of water resources, air, as well as protection and rational usage of land. Owing to the environmental protection actions implemented in 2006 the Company managed to decrease nitric oxide emissions into the air by 158 tons per year, as well as to decrease the boilers ash emission by 461 tons. Within the last year there was completed large scope of work related to water protection at the production sites of TGC-9. The activity included the slopes strengthening, filling of ash dump dykes, investigation of station waste waters impact on the environment, monitoring of ash dumps and slime pits impact on underground water. Due to the environment protection actions fulfilled in 2006 there were no accidents with environmental consequences at TGC-9 sites. At present the Company is continuing to implement the nature-conservative measures. The ecology policy covering the period up to 2009 has been accepted by TGC-9. According to the results of the program events implementation, TGC-9 is planning to decrease the nitric oxide emissions down to 35,9 thousand tons per year, sulphur oxide – to 59,9 thousand tons, ash – to 53,9 thousand tons.

ANO NERA has also developed the family of weekly updated NERAX Eco stock indexes. These indexes demonstrate the dynamics of capitalization of best companies in ecologic efficiency, and the companies which are best in environment impact reduction tempo, from the number of leading companies included into TOP-100 rating of socio-ecologic responsibility. TGC-9 shares are included into calculation basis of NERAX-Eco-2.
