Moscow, Russia – November 7, 2012– Rostelecom OJSC (the “Group”) (MICEX - RTS: RTKM, RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY), Russia’s national telecommunications operator, today announces that an interactive version of its 2011 Annual Report has won a silver in the League of American Communications Professionals LLC (“LACP”) 2012 Spotlight Awards competition in the category covering Finance / Telecom and Energy sectors.

Annual reports are evaluated by the LACP’s judging panel of international experts in communications on the following criteria: first impression, overall narrative, overall visual design, creativity, message clarity and perceived relevance. Rostelecom’s 2011 Annual Report received a total of 97 points out of 100. 1,500 small and large cap companies from 12 countries, representing various industries, took part in this year’s competition.

According to the judging panel’s adjudication, the Company succeeded in preparing a highly informative Annual Report that provides its target audience with all they need to learn about the Company.
