According to Anatoly Kruchinin, Severstal General Director, such reshuffle and separation of current functions are quite logical because of iron and steel business development in Severstal Group. Severstal Directorate on Strategic Planning will keep business planning, controlling processes, balance scored cars systems, restructuring of non-key assets in its competence.

Before this appointment Igor Timofeev managed projects relating to organising of Severstal joint ventures (e.g. Severgal); Mr. Timofeev participates in almost all outside projects implemented at Severstal.

Main targets of a new Severstal Group subdivision developed and headed by Igor Kostin are business planning in iron and steel division of the company, assessment of assets from further collaboration and company expansion point of view.
