The exhibition Power Saving-2004 will take place at Krasnaya Presnya (ExpoCenter) from December 1 until December 4. At this exhibition AO MOSENERGO will present modern power-saving technologies and equipment that is used at the Company’s branches.

Participants in the event include Russian and foreign companies. The exhibition was arranged by a German company Ost-West Partner and supported by the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Russian Federation, Federal Service of tariffs, RAO UES and Gazprom. AO MOSENERGO’s exhibits include software and hardware tools for testing power equipment as well as pipes insulated with polyurethane foam.

Specialists from the Central Maintenance and Mechanics Plant of AO MOSENERGO developed the testing tools. The software and technical set Spider was designed on the basis of German equipment for testing systems that are used in automated turbine regulation. The use of this tool will make it possible to obtain full data on the condition of parts and the automatic regulation system as a whole. The Spider will allow power specialists to locate weak points faster and more accurately, i.e. optimize operations and save resources.

Another AO MOSENERGO’s exhibit has already won recognition at many international and Russian exhibitions. At present, Heating Grids of AO MOSENERGO has laid 70 km long lines using new pipes. The polyurethane insulation makes it possible to considerably reduce external corrosion which helps to extend the operational life of pipes 3-4 times. The sensors that are installed in the insulation indicate exact location of leaks. Based on the experience, heat losses in the lines with polyurethane insulation decrease 2-3 times.
