Over the 1st half of 2004, Gazprom extracted 276.8 bcm of gas, 1.5 bcm up on the target for Russia.
At the same time, 24.4 bcm were withdrawn from underground gas storage facilities, 1.8 bcm less than scheduled due to warm climatic conditions during the past winter.
Over the 1st half of 2004, Russian consumers withdrew some 200 bcm of gas (including natural gas of independent producers and associated petroleum gas of oil companies), 1.4 bcm less than targeted which was also caused by the warm winter.
Gas supplies to outside the Russian Federation exceeded the target by 8.5 bcm and totaled 127.6 bcm.
