Moscow, 24 October 2006. The Board of Directors of OAO "TGC-2" approved the appointment of Andrey Vagner as Director General of the Company. Before that, the appointment of Andrey Vagner had been approved by the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia".

Andrey Vagner was born on 17 August 1957. He has been involved in the electricity industry for more than 20 years. After he graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute, he went to work at the Zapadno-Sibirskaya CHPP, where he worked his way up from operator of the central turbine control center to Chief Engineer of the power plant. In 1998 to 2000, he worked as Executive Director and First Deputy Director General of OAO "Kuzbassenergo", and then was offered a position with RAO "UES of Russia".

Before his appointment as Director General of OAO "TGC-2", Andrey Vagner had served as Deputy Executive Director of Business Unit No. 2, and before that he had been in charge of the Company's Power Plants Department.
