Today in Dresden Sergey Fursenko, General Director of Lentransgaz representing Gazprom and Clemens Tonnies, Supervisory Board Chairman of German Football Club Schalke 04 have signed an Agreement for title sponsorship of the team.

The Agreement signed for five years stipulates placing from January 1, 2007 the Gazprom logo on Schalke football players’ T-shirts and sponsor banners around the stadium perimeter as well as offers other commercial opportunities.

The team’s Supervisory Board always strives for better organizational structure and work. The partnership with Gazprom is therefore a milestone for us”, said Clemens Tonnies, Supervisory Board Chairman of German Football Club Schalke 04.

We are sure that our sponsorship initiative is one of the most important steps towards Gazprom brand-name recognition in Germany and positive apprehension in Europe”, said Sergey Fursenko, General Director of Lentransgaz.
