OJSC North-West Telecom has made a centralized agreement with the RTComm.RU national Internet operator for the passage of Internet traffic.  

Each branch of OJSC NWT had had an individual direct agreement with RTComm.RU. At the moment, the four largest branches of the Company operate in the framework of a single agreement: Petersburg Telephone Network, Electrosvyaz of Kaliningrad Oblast, Murmanelectrosvyaz and Electrosvyaz of Vologda Oblast.

The centralization of contractual relations will make it possible for OJSC North-West Telecom:

• to improve the quality of access to the Internet for clients;
• to increase the capacity of external channels to the Internet in Kaliningrad 2.5 times, in Vologda twice and in Murmansk 1.5 times;
• to cut down the prime cost of traffic passage.

The aggregate capacity under the single agreement has amounted to: 70 Mb/s;

• 50 Mb/s for the Petersburg Telephone Network branch;
• 10 Mb/s for the Electrosvyaz of Kaliningrad Oblast branch;
• 6 Mb/s for the Murmanelectrosvyaz branch, and
• 8 (4) Mb/s for the branch Electrosvyaz of Vologda Oblast.

The agreement provides for a further expansion of the capacities in the framework of connected branches, as well as for the connection of other branches of OJSC North-West Telecom.
