Today, Vienna (Austria) has hosted a meeting of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Dr. Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of OMV AG, and Martin Bartenstein, Minister of Economic Affairs and Labor of Austria.

The meeting highly appreciated the partnership of both companies in the gas sector and specified an absolute Russian gas supply reliability as well as importance of the last-year signed contracts for gas supply to Austria until 2027.

The Minister and the companies’ top management reviewed cooperation development horizons for Gazprom and OMV opening due to the signing of the Memorandum of understanding, particularly in the aim of expanding the cooperation in the underground gas storage sector and developing the Central European Gas Hub.

Special attention was paid to issues of creating gas transmission capacities ftowards Austria which is a largest gas distribution center aimed at providing increasing gas demand in Europe.
