Yesterday in the museum of Egorshinskaya HPP they opened another exposure hall, devoted to the construction of the first and the second stages of the electric power station.

The exhibition tells the visitors about projects of GOELRO plan both in Russia as a whole, and in the Urals in particular (Egorshinskaya, Kizelovskaya, Chelyabinskaya HPP), about life and work of the first constructors of the electric power station.

For the grand opening of a new stage of the museum, devoted to the Day of a powerman, gathered representatives of the administration of the city of Artyomovsky and energy enterprises of the Sverdlovsk region. Visitors left their suggestions in the museum book. Most of those suggestions were wishes of the further development and prosperity to the first museum of power engineering in the Urals.

In 2003 on the occasion of the 80^th birthday of EHPP and by the moment of shutoff of the electric power station they created a new exposure, thanks to the head of the museum – P.I. Anchugov, the research assistant of the museum – E.V. Korepanova, the engineer of the boiler workshop – V.N. Chizhmakov.

The historical and industrial complex of Egorshinskaya HPP consists of buildings and constructions (buildings from 1914 to 1948), equipment of 1930-1980, museum of EHPP. The first exposure in the museum opened on December 22^nd, 1988. Since then the museum of history of Artyomovsk power engineering began. In 1993, on the occasion of the 70^th birthday of EHPP they created a new exposure in the museum. It included: the model of Egorshinskaya HPP (made by the veteran of EHPP – A.M.Simakhin), sections “Construction of EHPP”, “Years of the Great Patriotic War”, “Automation of the enterprise”.

In 1995 they organized “The museum council” that began active work. They continued collecting materials about the history of EHPP, electrification of Egorshinsky region and neighbouring areas, that received electric energy from Egorshinskaya HPP. They added new themes in the exposure: “The Demidovs”, “Repressions”.
